Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – In person and Virtual via telehealth
Location: Dunbar Area, Vancouver, BC
Schedule: 2 Days per week initially, with future potential
Compensation: $32-$35 per hour (based on experience)
We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our neurology practice on a part-time basis in Vancouver’s Dunbar neighbourhood in person and via our virtual care team. The LPN will provide essential patient care, support physician and clinic staff, and assist in delivering high-quality medical services within a clinical setting. This role offers an prospect to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while working in a professional and supportive environment.
In this role, you will also provide primary care and clinical symptom assessments remotely via phone, secure messaging, and video via telemedicine. You will deliver evidence-based guidance and support, working independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure protected, timely, and accessible healthcare for all patients. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Experience with Telus CHR EMR and ER LPN experience would be an asset.

Position Details
- Part-time position
- 2 days per week (between Tuesday to Thursday) initially, with future potential
- No weekends
- Typical work hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM with the possibility of working more days with shorter hours, finishing at 2:45pm
- Compensation: $32-$35 per hour (based on experience)
Duties
- Deliver direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, assessing response to treatments, assisting with daily activities in a clinical setting, telemedicine review of results with patients in collaboration with the healthcare team and within specific regulatory boundaries
- Provide follow up care for patients reviewing diagnostic testing results that physician has triaged as normal, and coordinate relevant care plans in accordance with clinical guidelines and scope of practice
- Assist with patient assessments and document medical histories
- Support staff with procedures, treatments, and patient education
- Prepare and assist patients before and after procedures
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations
- Maintain timely charting using the Telus CHR EMR system
- Utilize computer tools and online services efficiently to support patient care and clinical documentation
- Efficiently navigate digital health platforms and electronic health records, and resolve basic technical issues to ensure uninterrupted patient care
- Follow appropriate escalation pathways and collaborate effectively with medical advisors and the physician to ensure coordinated patient care
- Collaborate with a high-performing clinical and support team
Qualifications
- Active License: Active and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
practicing license in British Columbia, in good standing with BCCNM (required)
- Background Check: Passes and complies with a Ministry of Justice Criminal Record Check upon hire and every 5 years thereafter
- Experience: Minimum 1-3 years of LPN practice experience with strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills
- Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred
- Clinical Assets: LPN experience in emergency medicine, ER settings, urgent care settings, or telehealth/virtual care delivery is considered an asset
- Clinical Knowledge: Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, strong knowledge of medical terminology, and adherence to safety standards and medication administration protocols
- Technical Skills: Experience with the Telus CHR EMR system is preferred, optional certifications such as CAN telehealth training are considered an asset
- Professional Competencies: Strong communication, interpersonal and time management skills with the ability to prioritize clinical tasks and multitask in a fast paced environment
- Team Alignment: Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment, demonstrating a passion for improving healthcare access, accountability, and a commitment to excellence
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive hourly wage: $32-$35 per hour (based on experience)
