Job DescriptionThe Plumber Helper assists plumbers in the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role involves manual labor, basic plumbing tasks, and providing support to ensure efficient workflow and safety.RequirementsAssistance with Plumbing Work:Help plumbers with the installation and repair of pipes, fittings, and fixtures.Assist in the assembly and installation of valves, fittings, and pipes composed of metals such as iron, steel, brass, and lead, and nonmetals such as glass, vitrified clay, and plastic.Tool and Material Management:Maintain and organize plumbing tools and equipment.Ensure that the work area is clean and free of hazards.Transport tools, materials, and equipment to and from job sites.Basic Plumbing Tasks:Measure, cut, and thread pipes.Clean and prepare pipes for installation.Assist in testing plumbing systems for leaks and other issues.Safety and Compliance:Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
at all times.Assist in ensuring that plumbing work complies with relevant codes and regulations.Customer Service:Interact professionally with clients and other tradespeople.Communicate effectively with the plumbing team and supervisors.General Support:Perform general maintenance and repair tasks as needed.Assist with troubleshooting plumbing issues under the guidance of a licensed plumber.Support other team members in completing plumbing projects on time.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Vocational training in plumbing is a plus.Previous experience in construction or plumbing is preferred but not required.Skills and Abilities:Basic knowledge of plumbing systems and tools.Ability to follow instructions and work well under supervision.Positive physical condition and stamina; ability to lift heavy materials and work in various conditions.Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.Licenses and Certifications:Willingness to obtain relevant certifications if required.Working ConditionsThe position involves physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, and handling heavy materials.Work may be performed indoors and outdoors, in various weather conditions.Exposure to potentially hazardous materials and environments; adherence to safety protocols is essential.#J-18808-Ljbffr
