We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Manufacturing Engineer for a 6-month contract opportunity with a leading medical device client of ours in the Vancouver area. In this role, you will bridge the gap between quality and production, ensuring manufacturing processes are optimized, compliant, and efficient. You will be responsible for supporting the production floor by designing tools, managing metrology activities, and refining process layouts to meet stringent quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Process Improvement:

Design, implement, and maintain production and process layouts to maximize throughput and ensure high-quality output.

- Tooling & Design:

Lead the design and development of jigs and fixtures to support manufacturing assembly and testing processes.

- Quality & Compliance:

Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodologies to monitor production stability and ensure compliance with medical device manufacturing regulations.

- Metrology:

Oversee metrology requirements,



ensuring precision measurements are captured and utilized to maintain product specifications.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with quality assurance, production teams, and engineering to resolve technical issues and optimize manufacturing workflows.

Qualifications & Skills

- Proven experience as a Manufacturing Engineer within the medical device or highly regulated industry.

- Robust proficiency in jig and fixture design.

- Hands-on experience with metrology and precision measurement equipment.

- Solid understanding and application of Statistical Process Control (SPC).

- Demonstrated ability to design and optimize production and process layouts.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
