Responsibilities

- Develop and deliver comprehensive math lessons aligned with curriculum standards for high school students
- Create an engaging classroom atmosphere that encourages active participation and curiosity
- Assess student progress regularly through tests, assignments, and projects, providing constructive feedback
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with diverse learning styles, including those in special education programs
- Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary projects and share best practices




- Maintain clear communication with students, parents, and school staff regarding academic performance and behavioral expectations
- Incorporate technology and laboratory experiences to enhance understanding of mathematical concepts when appropriate

Skills

- Proven experience in tutoring high school students in math or related subjects
- Classroom experience demonstrating effective classroom management and instructional techniques
- Solid knowledge of mathematics principles across various levels, including algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics
- Excellent teaching skills with the ability to motivate and engage students of different backgrounds
- Effective communication skills for explaining complex concepts clearly and fostering positive relationships
- Familiarity with special education strategies to support diverse learners’ needs
- Laboratory or practical experience applying mathematical theories in real-world contexts enhances instructional delivery

Pay: $22.00-$32.00 per hour
