The Royal Columbian Hospital Redevelopment Project (RCHRP) is a multi-year, multi-phase project to increase the hospital's capacity, beds, and services. 50% subsidy on TransLink passes.Additional employee discounts and perks available.Eligibility based on employment status.ResponsibilitiesConducts and records EEG tests on patients using digital equipment; adjusts equipmentduring tests and takes measurements to identify abnormalities.Formulates technical preliminary reports by analyzing recordings, describing abnormal manifestations, and forwarding impressions to Neurologists for diagnosis.Prepares for tests by reviewing requisitions, case history, and determines test approach; obtains patient history, explains procedure, applies electrodes, and monitors comfort to obtain required results.Sets up and monitors Carotid Endarterectomy during OR procedures and advises the Surgeon of any changes during the procedure.Ensures equipment is functioning correctly and reports issues; cleans electrodesand calibrates equipment to ensure accurate records.Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment; provides input into capital equipment acquisitions and budget information.Performs other related duties as assigned.QualificationsEducation and ExperienceGraduation from a recognized program in Electroneurophysiology Technology plus one year's recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Eligible for registration with the Canadian Board of Registration of Electroneurophysiology Technologists (CBRET) and/or the Board of Registered Electromyography Technologists of Canada (BRETC).Skills And AbilitiesAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.Ability to work effectively with others.Ability to operate related equipment.Ability to organize work.Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.#J-18808-Ljbffr
