Position Summary:

The Mental Health &

• Addictions (MHA) Program Development &

- Performance Facilitator is a member of the interprofessional team and demonstrates a set of core competencies/expertise fundamental to developing and maintaining the standards of practice environment at IERHA. Working collaboratively with clinical teams, program leaders, provincial partners, community organizations, and other stakeholders, the MHA Program Development &
- Performance Facilitator supports policy and procedure development, provincial standards, quality improvement initiatives, accreditation activities, program evaluation, and staff education across Mental Health and Addictions programs. The MHA Program Development &
- Performance facilitator works collaboratively across programs and disciplines to strengthen practice standards, support system improvements, and facilitate the implementation of regional and provincial initiatives. The position contributes to the achievement of organizational priorities and positive outcomes for clients, families, and communities.





The position of the MHA Program Development & Performance Facilitator functions in a manner consistent with, and supports the mission, vision and values of the Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority.

Qualifications:

- Post-secondary degree in social sciences, clinical discipline, business or health administration.
- Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline preferred.
- Active member in good standing of an associated regulatory body as appropriate.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Five (5) years’ work experience in healthcare, of which two (2) years’ experience are working within the mental health and addictions setting.
- Specific healthcare work experience in quality improvement, systems design, and project management.
- Knowledge of program planning, development and evaluation.
- Knowledge of the current Manitoba health care system, provincial mental health and addictions priorities, and all relevant health system organizations/stakeholders.
- Knowledge of system performance indicators and outcomes.
- Knowledge of patient safety and risk management.
- Knowledge of quality improvement and accreditation.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines in terms of completing projects and tasks within set timeframes.
- Demonstrated ability to review data, research, and literature to analyze, interpret, and synthesize information, prepare reports and present information.




- Effective leadership skills, including problem solving, facilitating change and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with individuals and groups.
- Excellent presentation skills and ability to engage an audience while presenting complex information.
- Valid Manitoba driver’s license.
- Mental and physical ability to meet the demands of the position.
- Proficiency of both official languages is essential for target and designated bilingual positions.
- Satisfactory employment record.
