QLUX Millwork Solutions is looking for a motivated and technically capable individual with relevant experience in custom millwork, cabinetry, or a related field to join our team.

This is not strictly a drafting position. We are looking for someone who understands the technical side of millwork and is interested in being involved across different stages of a project—from drawings and technical development to production processing, coordination, problem-solving, and customer communication.

The ideal candidate is someone with a strong foundation who is motivated to learn, take responsibility, and continue developing within the millwork industry.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

- Developing detailed millwork and cabinetry drawings using SketchUp & Cabinet Vision
- Reading and interpreting architectural drawings, elevations, site measurements, and specifications
- Reading and interpreting appliance specifications and incorporating technical requirements and clearances into millwork drawings
- Developing practical, accurate, and buildable millwork details Engineering and processing millwork projects for production
- Preparing accurate production information, dimensions, materials, and hardware requirements
- Coordinating technical details with production, installation, and other team members
- Reviewing drawings and project information for accuracy before production
- Identifying potential conflicts or technical issues and developing practical solutions
- Coordinating revisions and maintaining accurate project information throughout the process
- Assisting with material take-offs, estimating, pricing,



and preparation of quotations when required
- Communicating with customers, running meetings
- Assisting with project coordination and follow-up from initial development through production and installation Participating in client meetings, presentations, and sales-related activities where appropriate
- Supporting day-to-day project and operational requirements as needed
- Performing other occasional duties reasonably related to the position and the needs of the business

Qualifications & Skills
- Relevant experience in custom millwork, cabinetry, woodworking, or a related industry
- Strong proficiency in SketchUp
- Strong proficiency in Cabinet Vision
- Ability to understand how drawings translate into actual fabrication and installation Good understanding of cabinet construction, materials, hardware, and millwork detailing
- Ability to read architectural drawings and technical specifications
- Ability to interpret appliance specifications and manufacturer requirements
- Strong attention to dimensions, details, and accuracy
- Practical problem-solving and technical thinking
- Valuable organizational and communication skills
- Comfortable communicating with customers and other professionals when required
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and priorities

The right individual will have the opportunity to become involved in the broader technical and operational side of custom millwork, including engineering, production processing, project coordination, estimating, customer interaction, and potentially sales.

The exact responsibilities can develop based on the individual’s existing experience, strengths, capabilities, and interests. We are interested in someone who wants to grow their knowledge of the complete millwork process and become an increasingly valuable part of the operation.

Depending on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, capabilities, availability, and the nature of their involvement, we are open to considering either an employment position or an independent contractor arrangement.

Compensation and the structure of the working relationship will be discussed with qualified candidates based on experience and capabilities.
