We are looking for a Millwright apprentice to join the Maintenance team at Grouse Mountain! The Millwright team is primarily responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of our lifts and other machinery on the mountain. We are looking for someone who loves the outdoors, a challenging work workplace, and is not afraid of heights. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Machinery and equipment installation, preventative maintenance, service, repair and overhaul

Installing and adjusting machinery and equipment, fabricating parts as needed, rigging, leveling and aligning, troubleshooting equipment breakdowns

Maintain all lifts and related equipment in accordance with CSA Z-98 code and manufacturer’s specifications

Assist staff with emergency situations

Report and rectify any unsafe situations

Maintain a clean, organized and secure work workplace

Other duties as assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position reports directly to the Manager, Mechanical Maintenance and does not require any direct supervisory responsibilities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES Must be comfortable working at extreme heights





Willingness to work in all weather conditions

Must be flexible regarding work hours (occasional graveyard shifts, early mornings, late nights, weekends)

Ability to make on the spot decisions or assessments with regards to the safe operation of the equipment we are responsible for

Ability to lift up to 100lbs WORKING CONDITIONS

Hours of Operation are weather dependant. Due to the nature of the business, this position requires flexibility in terms of your work schedule. A variety of work schedules may include a variety of start times, including shifts on weekends and statutory holidays. Shifts require standing for long periods of time, lifting, twisting, and other forms of manual tasks.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

$25.80 to $38.22/hour
