Typical activities:

- Administer, implement, troubleshoot, and document the enterprise network to ensure its continuous and productive operation, complete with thorough documentation,

- Develop strategic plans for network device evolution, aligning with both current and future business needs and industry benchmarks,

- Provide expert-level technical support, administration, and engineering for allSaskEnergynetwork devices to guarantee theiroptimalperformance,

- Monitor and optimize network performance, swiftly troubleshoot and resolve any system issues to ensure high availability and reliability,

- Manage network disaster recovery processes, including meticulous planning, implementation, maintenance, and comprehensive testing,

- Engage with corporate and field employees, promptly addressing technology concerns and escalating complex issues as needed,

- Implement network equipment updatesin accordance withestablished company protocols to ensure ongoing security and functionality,

- Maintainsystem integrity through effective change control, problem management procedures, and consistent communication with internal stakeholders

- Stay abreast ofthe latestnetworking technologies, certifications, and industry developments tomaintaina high levelofexpertiseand adaptability,

Qualifications:

- Minimum5years of recent, hands-on experience in network administration, analysis, and design/architecture

- DemonstratedexpertiseSpine and Leaf data center networks utilizing VXLAN with BGP EVPN,

- Demonstrated experience designing, implementing andmaintainvarious routing protocols including BGP, EIGRP and OSPF,

- Comprehensive hands-on experience with Cisco's suite of networking equipment, including switches and routers,Proficiencyextends to working with various Cisco CLI interfaces, encompassing IOS, IOS-XE, and NX-OS, ensuring comprehensive configuration and administration across multiple Cisco platforms.

- Comprehensive hands-on experience with Fortinet’s suite of networking equipment, including firewalls, switches, and access points,

- Comprehensive hands-on experience with Fortinet security tools includingFortiManager,FortiAnalyzer, andFortiNAC

- Demonstrated experience in configuring andmaintainingnetwork resources in Microsoft Azure including virtual networks, virtual network peering, route tables, Front Door,WAFand network security groups.

- Additionalexpertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI),

- Skilled in the configuration and management of load balancers and web application firewalls,

- A deep understanding and implementation of network security best practices,

- A proventrack recordin deploying network technologies within organizational technology projects,

- Excellent collaboration skills within multi-disciplinary project teams,

- A thorough understanding of enterprise-level networks and the integration of on-premises and cloud environments,

- Additionalexperience with LTE and satellite communication technologies,

- Experience with ITIL frameworks and Change Management processes,

- Relevant experience in operating supervisory controls and data acquisition (SCADA) networks.

- Relevant job experience in North America with a provincial government, Crown or Oil & Gas Transmission company, or equivalent
