We are looking for EITs to become an integral part of our Mining & Tailings engineering teams located in Fort McMurray. In this role, you will apply mine engineering principles to support the development and execution of mine and tailings plans for Suncor owned and operated assets such as Base Plant, Fort Hills, Syncrude Mildred Lake and Aurora North.

Mine & Tailings teams are responsible for planning and scheduling the daily movement of ~3,300,000 tonnes of material! The successful candidate will work in a dynamic team workplace and will interact with technical and operations staff.

Qualifications:

- Seeking new graduates or individuals graduating in May 2025

- Undergraduate degree in Mining, Civil, Geological Engineering or equivalent program

- Registered or are immediately eligible for membership with the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGA)

- Strong computer skills; experience with Microsoft Office suite of programs is essential

- Knowledge of CADD systems

Responsibilities:

- Develop designs and calculate volumes as for integrated mine and tailings plans

- Create and present plans and stewardships on productivity, geological and geotechnical risks, water management, tailings deposition,



mining rates and equipment capabilities with originality

- Conduct field tours and observations as needed to monitor plan execution

- Communicate with Operations and field personnel to support plan execution as

- Devise new approaches and apply current processes in new ways every single day

- Analyze technical data and draw conclusions from comparative situations

- Independently plan and conduct projects to improve mine efficiency as required

- Be a dedicated role model for safety policies, procedures and practices

- Plan and organize work for the reclamation and sustainability of our growing operations

Location and other Key Details:

- You will work out of our Base Plant Mine or a Syncrude location in Fort McMurray, Alberta

- If you reside outside of Fort McMurray, relocation of your primary residence to within 60 km of Fort McMurray is mandatory. Relocation support will be provided; we offer housing assistance to eligible individuals

- Our engineering roles follow internal compensation guidelines and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work
