Order Picker – Warehouse Support

Our warehouse is essential to daily production and efficient order fulfillment. We are looking for a reliable and organized worker whose main responsibility will be preparing customer orders, while also supporting other warehouse activities when required.

Position Summary The main responsibility of this position is order picking and order preparation.

The employee will receive packing lists, pick the required products and quantities, prepare and label the orders, complete the required paperwork, and organize the finished orders for pickup or delivery.

The position also includes coordinating with drivers, handing over completed orders, obtaining the required signatures and communicating information about orders received throughout the day.

Since the volume of order picking may vary, the employee will also be expected to support other warehouse duties when required by the company. This may include receiving raw materials and supplies, organizing the warehouse, moving materials, replenishing production supplies, and other general warehouse duties.

This role combines order picking, shipping/receiving, organization, and hands-on warehouse work.

Key Responsibilities

Order Picking & Preparation

- Receive and review packing lists and customer orders.
- Pick the correct products and quantities according to the order.
- Prepare boxes and pallets for customer orders.
- Ensure products are properly packed, labeled, and organized.
- Double-check orders for accuracy before they leave the warehouse.
- Prepare all paperwork required for each order.
- Organize completed orders in the designated area and keep the order flow moving continuously.




- Communicate with the office or management team regarding missing products, discrepancies, or other order issues.

Driver & Order Pickup Coordination

- Have completed orders ready for drivers when they arrive.
- Assist drivers with locating and loading their orders when required.
- Hand over the correct boxes and products to drivers.
- Ensure the required documents are signed.
- Return signed documents to the appropriate person or department.
- Communicate any pickup issues or discrepancies to management.

Receiving & Warehouse Support

- Receive and identify incoming raw materials, supplies, and other shipments.
- Inform management when materials or supplies are received.
- Unload and organize shipments when required.
- Place received materials in their designated locations.
- Support warehouse organization and inventory rotation.
- Replenish raw materials and supplies for production when required.
- Return unused materials to their proper locations.

Forklift Operation & General Warehouse Duties

- Safely operate a stand-up forklift when required.
- Move raw materials, finished goods, boxes, and pallets to designated locations.
- Support other warehouse duties when order-picking responsibilities are completed or when required by the company.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks when necessary.
- Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures for raw materials and finished products.

Cleaning & Workspace Maintenance

- Remove empty bags, boxes, packaging waste, and unused materials from the warehouse floor.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working area at all times.
- Keep order-picking and staging areas organized.
- Follow all warehouse safety and hygiene procedures.

Communication & Teamwork





- Follow instructions from the Plant Manager.
- Communicate effectively about orders, shortages, damaged goods, received materials, or warehouse issues.
- Work collaboratively with production, logistics, office, and warehouse teams.
- Maintain a qualified and respectful attitude with coworkers, drivers, and suppliers.

Requirements Education & Work Eligibility

- High School Diploma.
- Legally entitled to work full-time in Canada.
- Valid forklift certificate Class 1, 2, 4 and 5.

Skills & Experience

- Minimum 1 year of experience operating a stand-up forklift (mandatory).
- Previous experience picking and preparing orders is an asset.
- Ability to accurately pick small quantities of boxes according to packing lists.
- Ability to perform both order-picking and manual warehouse duties.
- Fluent English (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow procedures and maintain a consistent workflow.
- Ability to lift 25 kg safely without help.
- Ability to stand, move, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Reliable commute to Port Coquitlam (V3C 6N9).
