About Another World Oakville

Another World Oakville is a free-roam virtual reality entertainment venue offering immersive gaming experiences for families, friends, birthday parties, corporate teams and community groups.

Another World Oakville is hiring a reliable, hands-on team member to support venue operations, customer sales and local marketing.

This is not a desk-based sales & marketing role. The employee will be responsible for running customer sessions and events, maintaining the venue, responding to enquiries, generating bookings and supporting marketing activities.

Responsibilities

Venue Operations

Open, close and prepare the venue for daily bookings.

Welcome guests, complete check-in and manage waivers.

Explain game instructions, equipment use and safety requirements.

Set up, monitor and manage VR gaming sessions.

Support birthday parties, corporate events and group bookings.

Keep gaming, reception and lounge areas clean and organized.

Manage booking schedules, event timing, supplies and basic inventory.

Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and escalate technical problems.

Handle customer concerns professionally.

Sales and Customer Engagement

Respond promptly to enquiries received by phone, email, social media and the website.

Recommend packages for birthdays, corporate events, family outings and group bookings.

Follow up with prospective customers and convert enquiries into confirmed bookings.

Conduct outreach to local businesses, schools, camps, community organizations and event planners.

Build relationships with corporate and community partners.

Identify opportunities to sell additional gameplay, lounge time, food, beverages and group packages.

Maintain accurate records of enquiries, follow-ups and booking outcomes.

Marketing





Assist with planning and executing local marketing campaigns and promotions.

Create and publish Instagram posts, Stories, Reels and short videos.

Capture photos and videos of the venue, games and events while following customer consent requirements.

Promote seasonal offers, birthday packages, corporate events and weekday bookings.

Support community outreach, partnerships, email campaigns and local event promotions.

Monitor campaign results and recommend ways to improve engagement and bookings.

Keep online listings, promotional materials, pricing and offer information accurate.

Preferred

Experience/Interest running parties, events or an entertainment venue.

Interest in gaming, technology or virtual reality.

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Comfortable speaking with customers and recommending packages.
- Organized, reliable and able to manage multiple responsibilities.
- Confident using social media platforms, particularly Instagram and Facebook.
- Comfortable creating simple photos, videos and promotional content using tools such as Canva.
- Able to work independently and take initiative.
- Comfortable learning recent booking, payment and customer-management systems.
- Available to work approximately 15 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends.
- Able to work on-site at our Oakville location.
