Under the direction of the F&B; Supervisor the Beverage Server is responsible for providing exceptional and quality food and beverage service in high volume areas. Responsibilities include preparation work and server-side duties in a team environment. Above all else, must embrace and be aligned with Casino Nova Scotia’s culture and philosophy of providing outstanding entertainment experiences.
Job Duties
- Provides exceptional guest service to casino guests
- Provides food and beverage service following established standards of service
- Cleans and buses section
- Responsible for communicating any potential issues or concerns regarding responsible beverage service
- Works as a member of the team and provides support to co-workers on shift to ensure an overall positive guest experience for all casino guests
- Responsible for handling various financial transactions involving beverage service to guests.
- Responsible for re-stocking of products and supplies, cleaning, and others duties as required
- Provides effective and exceptional service to our guests in a friendly, professional and positive manner at all times as they are ambassadors of Casino Nova Scotia
- Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership,
- employees, vendors and regulators
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed

- Delivers an exceptional entertainment experience to internal and external guests to ensure you make their day
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent is required
- Completion of the Responsible Service Certificate “Serve Right - it’s just positive business” is required (training offered)
- POS & Cash handling experience required
- One-year food and beverage serving experience in either a bar or restaurant setting required
- Demonstrated strong sales and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize
- Must have the ability to stand and carry a tray for the duration of a shift
- Must be able to work quickly, under pressure in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of Spirits, Wine and Beer is required
- Satisfactory attendance required
- Must be pleasant, positive, self-motivated individual with the ability to multi-task
- Must be able to communicate well with your fellow team members
