We are looking for a positive-minded support partner for a socially and physically active man with a developmental disability to participate in meaningful valued roles in inclusive community settings. Position is part time on Wednesdays, 10AM until 4PM. This individual loves music and enjoys already established Wednesday activities for most of the day.

The successful candidate must understand the value of meaningful inclusion for adults with developmental disabilities and have a robust desire to help one man participate in his community.

- Be able to independently take initiative to seek out and explore social, volunteer, educational and recreation opportunities with the individual

- Understand the importance of relationships.



Must be able to facilitate interactions and help this man develop and maintain friendships with others in the community.

- Encourage verbal expression and assist with whatever he requires to be successful.

- Is reliable, responsible and punctual Previous experience assisting an adult with a developmental disability participate successfully in valued roles in inclusive community situations is an asset but not a prerequisite.

Recent Vulnerable Sector

Check through Calgary Police Service is required as well as two references. Transportation will be a combination of public transit and your vehicle. Hourly salary and you will be employed by the individual’s family using Family Managed Services.
