Responsibilities

- Prepare a variety of baked goods including cakes, pastries, cookies, and other confections with precision and flair
- Decorate cakes and desserts using various techniques to create visually appealing presentations
- Follow recipes and food safety standards meticulously to ensure consistent quality and hygiene
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as measuring ingredients, mixing batters, and assembling baked goods
- Package baked items carefully for display or customer orders, maintaining freshness and presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment sanitation and proper storage of ingredients




- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely production and delivery of baked goods during busy periods

Requirements

- Proven experience in baking, pastry arts, or a related food industry role; restaurant experience is highly valued
- Robust skills in cake decorating, food handling, and general food preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper kitchen hygiene practices
- Ability to operate baking equipment such as mixers, ovens, and decorating tools effectively
- Excellent customer service skills to engage with customers when needed
- Familiarity with packaging methods to preserve the quality of baked items for retail or takeout orders
- A positive attitude with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
