JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Manager, People Health Team, the People Health Associate supports the operation of the VCH People Health Program which assists ill and/or injured employees to stay at work or return to productive work in a timely, safe and sustainable manner.

The People Health

Associate administers budgets, prepares reports and findings from detailed analysis and performs senior level administrative functions. The analysis and advice may include the development or review of policies, procedures, reporting methods, business practices and/or work processes. The Associate provides senior level administrative support to the team including coordinating technological support in partnership with Information Management/Information Systems (IMIS) and maintaining various databases. This position works independently and interfaces primarily with Managers, HR/LR Advisors, Unions, the People Health team, employees, WorkSafe B.C. and staff in related program/service areas. QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualifications

Diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources or related program plus two years’ recent related experience in a complex health care environment or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Advanced word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation skills software.

- Communicates in a compelling, transparent and understandable manner (both verbally and in writing) to ensure systems and processes are consistently followed and monitored for effectiveness and that gaps are addressed and resolved when identified.
- Utilizes time management skills to prioritize and complete assignments in a manner that optimizes departmental effectiveness and contributes to organizational success.
