Lifeguard: To use trained lifeguard techniques to effectively supervise swimmers, prevent aquatic injury, enforce rules to patrons and obtain emergency medical assistance as required.

Instructor: To instruct children and adults in swimming skills and water safety knowledge; to teach entry level leadership courses which instruct candidates to respond to increasingly complex rescue situations. Position Requirements:

Required Certifications

- Valid Lifesaving Society National Lifeguard certification, or equivalent
- Workplace Standard First Aid/CPR Level C Certification,

Preferred certifications, or willingness to obtain the following:

- Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor certification, or willingness to obtain
- Lifesaving Society Lifesaving Instructor certification, or willingness to obtain
- Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor Trainer certification, or willingness to obtain
- Waterfit Instructor, or willingness to obtain
