Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate and pet expert to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional service and expert product knowledge to our diverse clientele. The ideal candidate will possess robust communication skills, a passion for sales, and the ability to engage customers through effective merchandising and product demonstrations.

Previous experience in pet health, premium pet food and a passion for pets preferred. Scheduling will be for Monday, Tuesday evening and every other weekend

Responsibilities

- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
- Conduct engaging product demos to showcase features and benefits of various items
- Provide knowledgeable assistance on pet health and nutrition products and solutions
- Upsell additional items or services to maximize customer satisfaction and store sales
- Operate POS systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and processing payments
- Maintain organized merchandise displays and ensure products are well-stocked and attractive




- Manage customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism using excellent phone etiquette
- Assist with inventory management, merchandising, and stock replenishment
- Support a positive shopping environment through effective communication skills and teamwork

Requirements

- Previous experience in pet health, natural pet products, retail sales, customer service, or merchandising preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English
- Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling, and basic math for transactions
- Ability to perform product demos confidently and educate customers about pet health
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to upsell products while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in merchandising and stock management
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or evenings
- A positive attitude with excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent Pay: $17.00-$22.12 per hour
