Role Description The Pharmacy Assistant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Surrey, BC. In this role, the Pharmacy Assistant supports the pharmacy team by processing prescriptions, preparing medications under supervision, and maintaining accurate patient records. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting customers at the pharmacy counter, responding to phone inquiries with professional etiquette, and coordinating with pharmacists to ensure secure and efficient service.

and ensures that shelves and work areas are clean and compliant with company and regulatory standards. This position requires strong attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to providing respectful, high-quality customer care.

Qualifications

- Knowledge of pharmacy operations, including working with prescriptions and supporting pharmacists in medication preparation.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to assist patients in a friendly, professional, and confidential manner.
- Skilled phone etiquette and clear communication skills for handling inquiries and coordinating with health care providers.
- Experience with inventory management, including ordering, receiving, organizing, and tracking pharmacy stock.
- High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks that may involve light physical activity, such as stocking shelves.
- Previous pharmacy, retail, or health care experience is an asset.
- Completion of a Pharmacy Assistant or related program is preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team and adhere to all safety, privacy, and regulatory guidelines.
