Job Title: Philanthropy and Partnerships Management LeadReports to: Senior Director of Strategic Development Location: Remote (Preference for candidates in Kawartha Lakes, ON or Nunavut)Salary: $80,000 (Ontario) or $100,000 (Nunavut) annually; commensurate with experienceTerm: Full-Time Permanent
At Ampere, we work alongside rural, remote, northern, Indigenous, and other underserved communities to create opportunities through STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) education, digital skills training, workforce development, and other innovative, community-based programming.We’re looking for an experienced and relationship-driven Philanthropy and Partnerships Management Lead who can help build and grow Ampere’s philanthropic and partnership portfolio, developing meaningful relationships that support long-term community impact across Canada.Working in Ampere’s Strategic Development division, you will build relationships with corporate partners, foundations, donors, sponsors, and other supporters. You will identify opportunities, manage partnership pipelines, support cultivation and stewardship activities, and help establish the systems and processes needed to strengthen Ampere’s growing philanthropy function.This is an opportunity for a skilled relationship management professional who enjoys connecting with people, building trust, creating new opportunities, and helping an organization develop the infrastructure needed for sustainable growth. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, comfortable representing Ampere externally while building the systems that support strong partner relationships internally.
What you’ll do
- Build and manage relationships with corporate partners, foundations, donors, sponsors, and strategic supporters through proactive outreach, meetings, networking, engagement activities, and ongoing stewardship.
- Develop and manage a partnership and philanthropy pipeline by researching prospects, identifying opportunities, tracking relationship progress, and supporting cultivation, solicitation, renewal, and expansion activities.
- Represent Ampere's diverse portfolio of programs, initiatives, and funding opportunities, tailoring partnership conversations to align supporter interests with the organization's evolving priorities.
- Create and execute partnership strategies that align supporter interests with Ampere’s programs, priorities, and community impact opportunities.
- Develop partnership materials, sponsorship packages, proposals, presentations, briefing documents, and relationship resources in collaboration with leadership, communications, and program teams.
- Support donor and partner stewardship by coordinating impact updates, reporting, recognition activities, engagement opportunities, and ongoing communications.
- Build foundational philanthropy systems and processes, including CRM practices, relationship tracking, portfolio management, pipeline reporting, and stewardship workflows.
- Coordinate partnership commitments and ensure partner benefits, deliverables, reporting requirements, and engagement opportunities are successfully fulfilled.
- Collaborate with executive leadership, program teams, communications, and proposal development staff to strengthen Ampere’s fundraising readiness and external relationships.
Attributes and Qualifications
- 5-8+ years of experience in philanthropy, corporate partnerships, sponsorship, fundraising, community investment, or a related relationship-based role.
- Demonstrated success building, managing, and growing relationships that lead to revenue generation, investment, partnerships, or strategic opportunities.
- Strong relationship management, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage confidently with executives, donors, partners, and community stakeholders.
- Experience managing a portfolio of relationships and developing strategies for cultivation, stewardship, renewal, and long-term engagement.
- Experience managing relationships on behalf of organizations with diverse program portfolios, with the ability to quickly understand new initiatives and translate them into compelling partnership opportunities.
- Experience building or improving relationship management systems, CRM practices, prospect pipelines, or fundraising processes.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple relationships, priorities, and deadlines.
- Ability to represent an organization externally and build trust through authentic, values-based relationship development.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with leadership, program teams, communications staff, and community partners.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while contributing effectively as part of a cooperative team.
- Proficiency working in Google Suite, and preferred experience working in CRM, fundraising, or relationship management platforms.
- Experience within rural, remote, northern, Indigenous, or community-based organizations in Canada is an asset.
- Experience working within a not-for-profit, charity, social enterprise, education, or social impact organization is an asset.
- Experience developing sponsorship opportunities, corporate partnerships, or major gift relationships is an asset.
- Experience in STEAM, education, technology, workforce development, or community innovation is an asset.
- Ability to speak and write in French and/or Inuktitut is an asset.
