Role Description The Admissions Counsellor is a full-time, on-site role based in Surrey, BC. This position is responsible for advising prospective students on suitable programs, schools, and pathways, and guiding them through the admissions process from initial inquiry to enrollment. Day-to-day tasks include meeting with clients in person or via phone/video, assessing academic backgrounds and career goals, explaining admission requirements, and helping complete application forms and supporting documents. The role involves maintaining accurate records in internal systems, following up on pending applications, coordinating with partner institutions, and responding promptly to emails and calls.



The Admissions Counsellor also supports information sessions, contributes to educational content, and collaborates with colleagues to improve processes and client experience.
Qualifications

- Robust counseling and advisory skills, with the ability to assess client needs and recommend appropriate academic or training pathways.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with diverse clients, colleagues, and partner institutions.
- Solid organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple cases, track deadlines, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Proficiency with office software, CRM or student management systems, and comfort working with digital forms and online portals.
- Knowledge of Canadian education systems, admissions processes, and immigration-related considerations is an asset.
- Previous experience in admissions, student advising, immigration consulting, or customer service in a professional setting is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Surrey, BC, demonstrating reliability, professional conduct, and a client-focused mindset.
- Post-secondary education in counseling, education, business, or a related field is an advantage, or equivalent work experience.
