The Fritter Shop is looking for a friendly, outgoing and energetic team member to help operate our weekly college pop-up events, with the opportunity for additional weekend shifts at our Western Fair Market location.

This is a hands-on, customer-focused position that's perfect for someone who genuinely enjoys talking to people, staying busy and creating a great customer experience.

We're a small and growing business, so we're looking for someone who is dependable, willing to jump in wherever needed and excited to be part of the team as we expand our pop-up and event business.

What You'll Do

Your responsibilities may include

- Assisting with food preparation and packing before events
- Loading and unloading equipment, products and supplies
- Setting up and tearing down the pop-up booth
- Greeting customers and helping them choose products
- Taking customer orders and handling payments using a POS system
- Preparing, cooking and packaging food
- Restocking products throughout the event
- Maintaining a clean, organized and food-protected workspace
- Helping ensure events run smoothly from setup through teardown

Additional weekend shifts may also be available at our Western Fair Market location, assisting with customer service, food preparation, POS transactions and general market operations.

Schedule

- Weekly Wednesday college pop-up events from September 9, 2026 to May 26, 2027
- Events generally run from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
- Additional time will be required before and/or after events for preparation, setup, packing and cleanup




- Additional Saturday and/or Sunday shifts may be available at our Western Fair Market location
- Hours may vary based on the event schedule and business needs

This is a part time/casual position, with the opportunity for additional hours as our pop-up and event schedule grows. We're Looking for Someone Who Is

- Comfortable being on their feet for extended periods
- Able to lift up to 40 lb
- Detail-oriented and able to keep a clean and organized workspace
- Willing to learn and help wherever needed as part of a small team

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous customer service, retail or food service experience is an asset
- Food Handler Certification is an asset, or willingness to obtain one
- Reliable transportation is an asset
