What is the Opportunity?The Manager, Futures Exchange Solutions team within RBC Capital Markets Global Futures will specialize in Exchange Traded Derivatives regulatory reporting with a focus on Futures. They will work closely with partners in Compliance, Futures Operations, Futures IT along with Global Exchange and CCPs to ensure that RBC Futures is compliant with internal and external regulatory requirements for its Exchange reporting.Serve as the point of contact for North American exchange regulatory reporting matters, while providing backup coverage and support for other regions to ensure continuity and global consistency in reporting practicesDrive continuous improvement by proactively identifying opportunities to enhance reporting processes, streamline workflows, and reduce manual effort—whether through internal process redesign, system enhancements, or collaboration with vendors and external partners—and champion these initiatives through to implementationWhat will you do?Maintain and enhance the inventory of exchange regulatory reporting obligations, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and alignment with current exchange requirements across all applicable marketsMonitor exchange regulatory initiatives, rule changes, and reporting requirements from inception through implementation, tracking timelines, dependencies, and deliverables to ensure the firm remains on schedule and in complianceLead or support individual and concurrent regulatory reporting initiatives, coordinating workstreams across Compliance, Operations, Technology, and external stakeholders including exchanges and clearing brokersDevelop and maintain comprehensive process documentation for all regulatory reporting workflows, ensuring procedures are current, actionable, and audit-readyServe as a subject matter resource on exchange regulatory reporting requirements, providing guidance and support to Operations teams on interpretation, exception handling, and process executionBuild and maintain strong working relationships with exchange contacts, regulatory bodies, and internal partners to facilitate effective communication and issue resolutionIdentify gaps, control weaknesses, or process inefficiencies in current reporting practices and recommend enhancements to strengthen the control environmentRepresent the firm at industry forums, working groups, and exchange-hosted calls to stay current on regulatory developments, share best practices, and contribute to industry dialogue on reporting standards and emerging requirementsDevelop proficiency in the XTP books and records system, understanding its architecture, data flows,



and reporting capabilities as they relate to regulatory reporting obligations and audit trail requirementsBuild and maintain deep knowledge of exchange rule books and regulatory frameworks, serving as a reference point for rule interpretation and ensuring operational practices align with published requirementsConduct periodic reviews of existing controls related to regulatory reporting, assessing design and operating effectiveness, identifying gaps, and partnering with Compliance and Operations to implement remediation where neededStay current on rule book amendments and exchange circulars, assessing their impact on existing processes and controls, and communicating relevant changes to affected stakeholdersWhat you need to Succeed?Must have:3+ years of experience in Futures Operations, Compliance, or Regulatory Reporting with a focus on futures and cleared derivativesUnderstanding of Canadian regulatory frameworks, including CIRO rulesFamiliarity with US (CFTC, NFA) and European (EMIR and MiFID II/MiFIR) regulatory frameworksStrong understanding of the futures trade lifecycle, including execution, clearing, settlement, and books and records requirementsExperience developing, documenting, and improving operational processes and controlsDemonstrated ability to work across functions including Operations, Compliance, Technology, and external parties such as exchanges and clearing brokersProject Management skillset, you must have the ability to track and progress multiple initiatives simultaneouslyExcellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skillsStrong emotional intelligence and time management skills that support effective collaboration in rapid-paced, multi-stakeholder environmentsHigh degree of accuracy, attention to detail, strong organizational and analytical skills combined with ability to explain complex concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholdersCollaborative problem-solving mindset with demonstrated ability to ask insightful questions, think critically about complex issues, and contribute meaningfully to group decision-making processesNice to have:Knowledge of the Futures trade Lifecycle, from Execution to ClearingKnowledge of Futures/Options products,
