Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation by chopping, slicing, marinating, and assembling ingredients according to recipes and standards
- Support the cooking team by preparing ingredients needed for various dishes, ensuring timely meal assembly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper storage of ingredients and utensils
- Follow all food safety and sanitation protocols to uphold health regulations and ensure guest safety
- Serve as a key team member in meal preparation, helping to deliver consistent quality during busy service hours
- Assist with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying supervisors of low supplies
- Support the overall food service process by helping with plating, garnishing, and presentation of dishes
Qualifications
- Prior food handling or food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen safety standards
- Experience with meal preparation and understanding of serving procedures in a fast-paced environment
- Strong commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety compliance
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Basic understanding of the food industry practices related to kitchen operations and food handling
