Ellos HR Solutions is partnering with a well-established industrial manufacturer in Hamilton to recruit an experienced Controls Engineer or Electrical Technologist with a 442A Industrial Electrician license.

What We're Looking For

✅ 442A Industrial Electrician License (Mandatory)

✅ Electrical Engineering Degree, Electrical Technologist Diploma, or equivalent technical education

✅ Minimum 6 years of experience working with industrial automation and PLC-controlled equipment

✅ Strong experience with Allen-Bradley Logix and Siemens S7 PLC platforms

✅ Experience designing, programming, commissioning, and supporting automated control systems

✅ Solid understanding of industrial instrumentation, motor controls, VFDs, sensors, and electrical distribution systems

✅ Robust troubleshooting skills in high-volume manufacturing environments

✅ Self-motivated professional who can manage projects independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams

✅ Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities

What You'll Be Doing

✔ Design, improve, and maintain electrical control systems supporting automated manufacturing operations

✔ Develop and modify PLC, HMI,



and drive programs to improve equipment reliability and production performance

✔ Create and update electrical schematics, control documentation, and technical specifications

✔ Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and automation issues to minimize equipment downtime

✔ Support commissioning activities for new equipment, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives

✔ Develop preventive maintenance strategies for electrical and control systems

✔ Verify equipment performance while ensuring compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company procedures

✔ Work closely with Maintenance, Engineering, and Production teams to implement automation improvements and optimize manufacturing processes
