On behalf of our airline client, Procom is searching for a Product Owner for a 6 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Calgary office.

Product Owner - : The Product Owner – Data Products is responsible for shaping the vision, strategy, and delivery of critical operational data products within the AI & Data Governance Program. The role focuses on assessing, validating, and establishing a data domain aligned operating model to accelerate delivery, embed governance, and deliver trusted data products through focused teams.

Product Owner - Responsibilities:

- Define and own the vision, roadmap, and strategy for operational data products and underlying data stores.
- Define and monitor product success metrics to continuously improve operational data capabilities.
- Gather, analyze, and refine business requirements, translating them into product outcomes.
- Partner with data engineers, architecture, governance, and enablement teams to evolve operational data models.
- Establish and maintain data contracts and stewardship of operational data entities.
- Define service expectations for data products, ensuring quality, consistency, and compliance.
- Enable trusted self-service access to operational data and support advanced analytics and AI use cases.





Product Owner - Mandatory Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of experience, including at least three years as a Product Owner or similar role.
- Solid understanding of operational business processes within complex environments.
- Working knowledge of modern cloud-based data technologies and tooling.
- Strong technical understanding of data modelling concepts.
- Ability to understand the needs of data consumers and translate them into scalable data products.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills.

Product Owner – Nice-to-Have Skills:

- Agile Product Owner, Scrum Master, or Project Management certification.
- Experience with data governance principles.
- Experience in Agile product delivery environments.
- Strategic and systems-oriented thinker.
- Experience in airline operations or similar industries.

Product Owner – Assignment Length: This is a 6 month contract position. Product Owner - Start Date: ASAP.

Product Owner - Assignment Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This position is hybrid with 3 days in the office.
