Provide analytical and operational functions support to our products supply and marketing/trading groups covering multitude of light oil products, including gasoline, diesel, naphtha and high octane components. You will also develop, implement and assist short-term trading strategies that enable the optimization of our integrated model from the refineries and out to market.Key Accountabilities:
Perform economic analysis to evaluate large supply contracts and new commercial opportunities as part of the IVE (integrated volume enablement) team
Compile and prepare accurate reports for British Columbia Utilities Commission Fuel Price Transparency Act regulatory reporting. Coordinate the monthly reporting process, collaborating with cross functional teams such as pricing, legal, finance and planning, and accounting
Coordinate the monthly internal & 3rd party demand forecast consolidation and contract balancing activities. Drive value by optimizing the demand mix between product exchange contracts and terminal agreements
Provide turnaround planning support and prepare stewardship report to monitor progress of plan vs actual product inventory positions
Liaise regularly with internal partners (e.g. schedulers, marketers and traders, accounting, finance and planning, marine, rail operations) and collaborate to resolve issues and uncover commercial opportunities
Participate in the short- and long-term planning processes and understand key variances to plan each week/month effectively
Collect and analyze detailed market supply and demand fundamentals information
Lead and develop the product supply marketing plan by working collaboratively with team members
Provide non authoritative leadership and mentoring to the new grads
Ad hoc project work as required
Minimum Requirements
A post-secondary degree in Business, Finance or related discipline
Commercial or operational work experience
Strong quantitative analysis knowledge
Proficient in SAP, Excel and PowerPoint
