The Summer Camp Counsellor creates a secure, fun, and engaging environment for children participating in RED Mountain Resort's Summer Adventure Camp. Counsellors lead outdoor activities that encourage confidence, teamwork, and a love of the outdoors while ensuring the safety and well-being of every camper.

Key Responsibilities
Supervise campers at all times and maintain a secure, positive, and inclusive environment.
Lead and assist with daily camp activities, including hiking, nature exploration, outdoor games, crafts, team-building activities, chairlift rides, and environmental education.
Adapt activities to meet the age, ability, and needs of campers.
Follow all RED Mountain Resort safety policies, emergency procedures, and risk management protocols.
Conduct head counts, manage group transitions, and ensure safe loading and unloading during chairlift rides.
Communicate professionally with parents, campers, and fellow staff.




Complete attendance, incident reports, and other required documentation.
Assist with the setup, care, and storage of camp equipment and supplies.
Represent RED Mountain Resort with professionalism and enthusiasm.

Qualifications
Experience working with children is preferred.
Current Standard First Aid & CPR certification preferred.
Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
Robust communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and terrain.

Physical Requirements
Ability to hike on uneven terrain and participate in active outdoor programming.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Comfortable spending the full day outdoors in varying weather conditions.
