Become a Research Technician in Plant Sciences at the University of Saskatchewan. Contribute to the breeding of improved durum and spring wheat varieties through hands-on teamwork and technical skills.

In this term position, you will work closely with a research team supporting breeding programs. Responsibilities include establishing nurseries, maintaining equipment, and assisting in sample organization. Ideal candidates will possess a degree or diploma in agriculture and have experience with small plot equipment and data management.

Key Responsibilities:
Support breeding and yield nursery establishment
Maintain and harvest field samples efficiently
Operate tractors, seeders, and sprayers as required
Organize data collection and management for studies
Work adaptable schedule during the growing season

Requirements:
Undergraduate degree or diploma in agriculture
Experience in plant breeding or related research
Familiar with MS-Excel, MS-Word, and database software
Valid class 5 license required
Ability to lift up to 25 kgs outdoors
