Infinity Properties is one of the premier residential developers in the Fraser Valley and we are looking to grow our Finance & Accounting team! Over the past 20 years, we have provided over 3,000 single and multi-family units to new and excited homeowners and our mission is to continue and expand this tradition.

Infinity currently develops and sells approximately 120 residential units and between 70 and 100 single family lots each year with the goal of increasing this production year over year.
The Role
As a Project Accountant, you would be reporting to the Director of Finance. Your responsibilities will include the following:
- Assembling progress draws and performing variance analysis
- Reconciling quarterly construction reports to project records and recording budget and cost adjustments as needed
- Preparing project cash flow forecasts
- Advising on project cost coding
- Supporting the Development, Construction, and Sales & Marketing departments with ad hoc reporting
- Monitoring project performance metrics, including IRR
- Preparing quarterly budget updates and other project reporting for investors
- Monitoring compliance with loan conditions and financial covenants
- Monitoring Letters of Credit and deposits, and reconciling quarterly
- Managing the accounting for a portfolio of development projects
- Assisting with full-cycle accounting for project entities as needed
- Monitoring equity interest schedules
- Performing job cost to GL reconciliations and preparing associated journal entries
- Managing joint venture (JV) accounting
- Supporting year-end close for project entities
- Identifying and implementing process optimization opportunities
- Performing other ad hoc projects as required
What You Bring You will ideally bring the following qualifications and traits:
- Completion of an undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA designation, or enrolled in the CPA program, considered an asset
- 2-5 years of experience in development project or construction accounting
- A track record of identifying operational reporting efficiencies and process enhancements
- Solution-oriented with a growth mindset
- Easygoing, approachable, and coachable
- Analytical and detail-oriented
- Strong commercial awareness
- Sound written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel
- Experience with financial modelling considered an asset
