Job Summary
Ocean Track is a current company to Nanaimo BC. We are a Truck Pro dealer and we specialise in heavy equipment from on-road, off-road, marine and we are a CVSE-designated inspection facility. The successful candidate will work safely and efficiently, help with customer service, billing, maintain strong housekeeping standards, perform preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot repairs across a mixed vehicle fleet.
Job Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair gas and diesel engines
Test and repair hydraulic systems (training can be provided if needed)
Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems
Diagnose and repair air systems
Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles and small equipment
Fabricate and weld parts when required
Order parts and maintain inventory
Record and maintain accurate work orders and documentation
Maintain a clean, organized, and protected workspace
CVI inspections
Qualifications & Experience:
Authorized CVI inspector
Minimum 5 years of experience as a HDET
Fleet maintenance experience is an asset
Must supply own tools
Class 5 Driver’s Licence required (Class 1 or 3 with air brakes is an asset)

8-hour or 10- hour shifts
Monday to Friday or 4 day on 3 days off
Overtime as required
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $50.00-$57.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week

Education:
AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
Experience:
Mechanic: 5 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
Driving Licence (required)
