Maintenance Technician / Millwright

Location: Etobicoke, ON
Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician / Millwright . The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing production equipment to ensure safe and efficient plant operations. This position requires robust mechanical aptitude, excellent troubleshooting skills, and experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment and machinery.
Install, rebuild, and maintain process pumps and related equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Repair conveyors, packaging equipment, and other production machinery.
Clean, lubricate, adjust, and replace machine components as required.
Use hand and power tools safely for equipment installation and repair.
Document maintenance activities in the CMMS system.
Assist with equipment installations using proper rigging techniques.
Participate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Recommend process improvements to improve equipment reliability, safety, and productivity.
Obtain and maintain forklift, aerial lift, and fall protection certifications.





Qualifications
Red Seal Industrial Millwright or Red Seal Industrial Electrician preferred.
Degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field is an asset.
Equivalent education and experience will be considered.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLCs, VFDs, servo systems, and low-voltage electrical troubleshooting is an asset.
Experience with CMMS software.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid Ontario driver's licence.

Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, and perform physically demanding work.
Lift up to 51 lbs. when required.
Comfortable working around industrial machinery in a manufacturing workplace.

Schedule
Afternoon and night shifts as required.
Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production needs.
