Job Description: CNC Shop Hand / Shop Assistant

Job Type: Full-time

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our CNC machine shop as a Shop Hand / Shop Assistant. This entry-level position is a excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in the machining and manufacturing industry. The Shop Hand will assist in daily shop operations, supporting machinists, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and performing various tasks to ensure smooth workflow.

Responsibilities:

· Perform basic machine maintenance, such as cleaning and lubricating.

· Deburr, clean, and package finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards.

· Handle and organize raw materials, parts, and tools throughout the shop.

· Assist CNC machinists with setup and breakdown of machines, including loading and unloading materials.

· Operate basic shop tools and equipment (saws, grinders, etc.).

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment by sweeping, organizing tools, and cleaning work surfaces.

· Assist in shipping and receiving duties, including packaging and labeling of parts.





· Support inventory management by keeping track of materials and supplies.

· Perform other general shop duties as needed to support daily operations.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment is a plus but not required.
Basic understanding of hand tools, measurement tools (calipers, micrometers), and shop safety.
Robust attention to detail, especially when deburring and cleaning finished parts to ensure high quality standards.
Ability to follow instructions.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time.
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn recent skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and organizational skills.

Schedule:

· Full Time Day Shift – 8 hour shift

· Monday to Friday

Pay: $44,800.00-$54,000.00 per year
