We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our energetic culinary team at Native Tongues Taqueria at our Britannia Location. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food preparation and cooking, with a solid commitment to food safety and quality. The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking dishes to specifications, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen workspace.

Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients
Ensure all food handling practices adhere to safety and sanitation regulations
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and high-quality food delivery
Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation
Follow proper portioning and plating techniques for consistent dish presentation




Support inventory management by rotating stock and notifying management of supply needs

Qualifications
Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments preferred
Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly
Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Robust attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks
Passion for the food industry with a desire to learn and grow within the culinary field
