Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office, providing support in various administrative functions. This position requires a solid understanding of dental terminology and experience in a healthcare setting, particularly within a dental office. The Administrator will be responsible for managing front desk operations, maintaining electronic medical records, and facilitating communication between patients and healthcare providers.
Duties
Manage front desk operations, including greeting patients and answering phone calls.
Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow to ensure efficient office operations.
Maintain accurate electronic medical records using systems such as Dentrix and Epic.
Process patient information and verify insurance details as needed.
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Provide support to dental staff by preparing necessary documentation and assisting during procedures when required.
Handle patient inquiries and resolve issues in a professional manner.
Qualifications
Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within a dental office setting.
Familiarity with medical terminology is essential; knowledge of dental terminology is a plus.
Proficient in using electronic medical records systems, with experience in Dentrix or Epic preferred.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with patients and staff.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a rapid-paced workplace.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in office administration or related field is advantageous.
