Position Summary

We are seeking customer-focused and safety-oriented Bus Drivers to support the launch of an innovative On-Demand Transit Service. This service will provide flexible, technology-enabled public transportation to improve mobility and accessibility within the community.

As an On-Demand Transit Service Bus Driver, you will operate transit vehicles in response to dynamically scheduled passenger requests while providing exceptional customer service and maintaining the highest standards of safety.

Key Responsibilities
Safely operate transit vehicles in accordance with all traffic laws, company policies, and transit regulations.
Provide courteous and professional customer service to passengers.
Utilize onboard technology and routing systems to navigate energetic trip assignments.
Assist passengers with boarding and exiting vehicles, including those with accessibility needs.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance concerns.
Maintain accurate records, including vehicle inspections, incidents, and passenger-related information.
Adhere to established schedules, operating procedures, and safety protocols.
Respond appropriately to emergencies and service disruptions.




Promote a positive image of the transit service.

Qualifications

Required
Valid Class “F” Driver's License or higher with appropriate endorsements.
Willing to upgrade qualified candidates.
Clean driving abstract and demonstrated secure driving history.
Ability to pass a criminal background check and medical examination, where required.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Familiarity with mobile technology and GPS navigation systems.

Preferred
Previous experience operating transit buses, shuttle services, paratransit vehicles, or commercial vehicles.
Experience serving diverse populations, including seniors and persons with disabilities.

Pay: $29.00-$30.00 per hour
