Job Summary

Blomidon Estate Winery is a small boutique (~5,000 case) winery in Canning, NS, producing traditional method sparkling wines, whites, and reds, from 100% Nova Scotia grown grapes.

We are looking for a Harvest Cellar Hand to join our team for the upcoming 2026 harvest, with the potential of a long-term role for the right candidate.

We are a small team, and as such, are looking for a candidate willing and able to engage in all aspects of our operations. Flexibility, teamwork, and a outstanding attitude are a must.

Key Responsibilities:
Working with the Vineyard Manager to prepare for harvest, including netting vines, preparing picking bins, organizing picking tools, etc;
Working with the winemaker to prepare for all harvest activities, including cellar cleaning, organization, vineyard sampling, etc;
During harvest, work with the winemaker on all harvest activities, such as fermentation management, pressing, cleaning, wine racking, etc;




Assist the Vineyard Manager and team whenever possible, including post-harvest with winter preparation activities;
Ensuring all work locations are organized, clean and presentable to the public;
Ensuring, along with management, that everyone is following applicable safety standards, including, but not limited to, safety shoes, protective eyewear, and proper safety apparel;

Previous winery experience is not required, but an asset;

Adaptable schedule and the ability to work long hours during harvest is a must;

Positive attitude and team focus, as well as a commitment to quality and cleanliness;

Ability to lift 50lbs and work on your feet and outdoors for long periods.

Must be legally able to work in Canada.

Valid Driver's Licence necessary.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
