Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Licensed Forklift Operator - Order Picker to join our warehouse team. This role is essential for efficient warehouse distribution, order fulfillment, and inventory management. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of forklifts, including clamp trucks, and possess a solid understanding of warehouse operations. Job type: Temporary, day to day as directed by Staff Plus

Location: Scarborough, ON

Shift: 7:00am to 3:15pm, Monday to Friday

Pay: $21.45/hour

Duties
Safely operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and other warehouse management system equipment to move materials and products throughout the facility
Perform order picking accurately using warehouse management systems and order picker equipment
Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling of heavy items through heavy lifting techniques
Maintain inventory accuracy by organizing and storing products in designated areas
Conduct routine inspections of forklift equipment to ensure safety and proper functioning
Assist with stock replenishment and product rotation as needed




Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
Utilize basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities during order picking and inventory tasks

Requirements
Proven experience operating forklifts, including clamp trucks, with valid certification preferred
Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution processes and warehouse management systems (WMS)
Mechanical knowledge is a plus for troubleshooting equipment issues
Experience with order picker equipment and order picking procedures
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Basic math skills for inventory counting and measurement tasks
Familiarity with warehouse safety standards and protocols
Ability to work in a fast-paced workplace with attention to detail and accuracy
Prior experience in warehouse management or distribution centers is desirable
