Join our dynamic team as a Recycling Yard Labourer! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and effective recycling yard while operating equipment and assisting with material handling. Your proactive approach will help ensure safety standards are met and that our recycling operations run smoothly. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with heavy machinery, contribute to eco-friendly initiatives, and develop valuable skills in recycling and equipment operation.

Responsibilities
Forklifts, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently to move recyclable materials throughout the yard
Perform heavy lifting tasks to load, unload, and organize recyclable items with proper technique to prevent injury
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the yard by sweeping, cleaning work areas, and disposing of waste properly
Assist with sorting and processing recyclable materials according to established procedures
Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs promptly
Follow safety protocols at all times, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)



and adhering to operational guidelines

Qualifications
Prior experience operating forklifts is preferred but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift
You are out in the elements, and this job can be physically demanding at times
Experience in manufacturing or related industrial environments is a plus
Robust understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and sanitation practices
Willingness to perform cleaning tasks and maintain a tidy work setting
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and operate machinery for extended periods

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
