Role Description

This is a full time, on-site role for a Geomatics Technician specializing in Construction Layout Drafting, located in Calgary, AB. The role involves drafting and preparing construction layout plans. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with surveyors and civil engineering teams to deliver accurate field and office data for construction projects, with an emphasis on ensuring precision and compliance with regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will be able to attend the role daily in person at our main office in Calgary.

Qualifications
Experience and skills in Planning and Inspection to ensure precise and reliable surveying and layout processes
Knowledge and understanding of Civil Engineering principles and Building Surveying techniques
Commitment to and understanding of Construction Safety practices and standards
Solid problem-solving, organizational,



and time management skills
Proficiency in relevant drafting software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or related programs)
Diploma or degree in Geomatics, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field is preferred
Previous experience in construction layout or surveying is an asset

Compensation:

Compensation will be commensurate with your experience, with hourly salary compensation expected to be between $30 - 38 per hour. Tronnes has a versatile benefit package that will allow you to negotiate a benefit package that is designed for you and your situation.
