Position: Maintenance III – Journeyman Electrician

Location: Hinton Zone

Start Date: Immediately or upon mutually agreed date

Hours of work: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, (8:00am- 4:30pm) inclusive.

Wage: $40.80 - $44.80, in accordance with the CUPE Collective Agreement

This prospect will remain open until: A suitable candidate has been found

Summary:

The successful candidate will provide electrical services to the Facilities Department, and works under the direction and supervision of the Director of Facilities.

Duties:

The duties of this position are to include but are not limited to:
All related general electrical duties
Maintain Fire Alarm Systems
Maintain Building Control Systems

Qualifications:

The successful candidate:
Alberta Journeyman Certification in Electrical
Experience with Building Control Systems and Instrumentation would be an asset
Extensive experience with Roof Top Heating & Cooling units and Boiler Controls
Computer experience
Valid Class 5 Driver’s license
Physically able to do all aspects of the job
Must reside or be willing to relocate to Hinton area

The Division:

Grande Yellowhead Public School Division (GYPSD) stretches from Jasper National Park,



east to Evansburg, south of Cadomin, and northwest to Grande Cache. The jurisdiction includes 17 schools, 5 Learning Connection Centres, approximately 5000 students and 600 staff. The Division is governed by seven elected Trustees.

Evidence of a Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
