Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist for a direct-hire position at our Heidenhain Controller facility, working steady afternoon shifts. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge and experience. This role involves operating CNC milling machines to produce precision components in a manufacturing environment. Candidates should possess excellent blueprint reading skills and the ability to interpret technical drawings. Responsibilities
Set up, program, and operate CNC milling machines using Heidenheim controls to produce high-precision parts
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to ensure accurate machining processes
Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of CNC equipment
Use precision measuring tools such as calipers to verify dimensions and tolerances
Select and operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as needed for assembly or finishing tasks
Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety standards




Assist in continuous improvement initiatives following lean manufacturing principles
Collaborate with team members on production schedules and quality assurance processes

Qualifications
Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with proficiency in CNC programming
Mechanical knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and equipment operation
Familiarity with SolidWorks, CAD software, and blueprint reading skills
Ability to use calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement tools
Experience operating CNC milling machines in a manufacturing setting
Basic math skills for calculating dimensions and tolerances
Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, forklift operation, and assembly procedures is a plus
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality standards
Ability to work steady afternoon shifts reliably
