We are seeking a motivated and skilled Chainsaw Operator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating chainsaws and other power tools to perform tree trimming, land clearing, and landscape maintenance tasks. Your expertise will help ensure effective project completion while maintaining safety standards and environmental considerations. This position offers an exciting prospect to work outdoors in a quick-paced environment, contributing to large-scale construction, forestry, or land management projects.
Responsibilities
Safely operate chainsaws and related power tools to cut, trim, and remove trees, branches, and brush in accordance with project specifications.
Perform land clearing activities, including removing debris and preparing sites for construction or landscaping projects.
Conduct routine maintenance on chainsaws and hand tools to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment during operations.
Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as pruning, mulching, and planting as needed.
Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks efficiently and ensure project deadlines are met.
Use GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for site mapping and project planning when required.
Requirements
Proven experience operating chainsaws and heavy equipment in construction, forestry, or landscape settings.
Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on power tools and machinery.
Construction experience with familiarity in land clearing, site preparation, or related activities.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards.
Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques and the use of hand tools.
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred for transporting equipment or materials.
Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and power tools.
