- Collaborative, supportive team environment ABOUT THE ROLE As a RegisteredNurse, you willprovide compassionate,evidence-based nursingcare whilesupporting patients throughouttheir dental treatmentjourney. You willassess, plan, implement, and evaluateindividualized care, ensuringpatient safety andcomfort during dentalprocedures involving sedation. Thisrole requires excellentclinical judgment,



strongcommunication skills, and a commitment todelivering exceptionalpatient carein a fast-paced dental environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES - Provide direct patientcare before,during, and afterdental procedures.

- Perform patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and recognize changesin patient condition.
- Administer medications withinscope of practiceand monitor patientresponse.
- Assist with alllevels of dentalsedation by monitoringpatients throughout treatmentand recovery.
- Maintain accurate anddetailed patient documentationto support continuityof care.
- Educate patients andtheir familieson treatment plans, pre and post-operative instructions, medications, and healthmaintenance.
- Perform wound assessmentand basic woundcare when required.
- Utilize telemetry andpatient monitoring equipment, where applicable, toensure patient safetyduring sedation.
- Advocate for patients' needs andprovide compassionate,patient-centered care.
- Collaborate closely withdentists, dental assistants, hygienists, and administrativestaff to deliverseamless patient care.
- Adhere to infectionprevention and controlprotocols, professionalstandards, and regulatoryrequirements.
- Participate in continuouslearning andquality improvement initiatives.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR - Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) or eligibility for registration in another Canadian province with the ability to transfer registration.





- Successful completion ofan accredited nursingprogram (Diploma orBachelor of Sciencein Nursing).
- Current Basic LifeSupport (BLS) certification.
- Musthave successfully completedthe CRNE orNCLEX-RN.
- Experience is notrequired—we welcomenew graduates andentry-level applicants.
- Experience in directpatient carewithin a clinicalor hospital settingis considered anasset.
- Previous experience with medical/surgical nursing, or sedation is an asset.
- AdvancedCardiovascular Life Support(ACLS) certification isconsidered an asset.
- Pediatric nursing experienceor certification isanasset.
- Experience with dentalpractice management softwaresuch as Dentrixis an assetbut not required.
- Excellentcommunication and interpersonalskills with astrong patient servicemindset.
- Ability towork collaboratively withina multidisciplinary healthcareteam.
