Job Title: Commercial Tailor

Location: Bedford, Nova Scotia
Job Type: Full time, Ongoing Assignment
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Pay Rate: $20/hr

Advantage Personnel is currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Tailor on behalf of our client in Bedford, NS. Responsibilities:
Construct, alter, and repair uniforms, coats, specialty garments, and other commercial apparel
Read and interpret technical specifications, measurements, and garment patterns
Operate industrial sewing machines and utilize hand-finishing techniques
Perform alterations and fittings to ensure garments meet customer specifications
Maintain consistent quality, durability,



and attention to detail throughout production
Collaborate with production staff to meet deadlines and production schedules
Inspect finished garments to ensure quality standards are met
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
Follow all workplace safety procedures and company standards

Requirements:
Previous experience as a Commercial Tailor or Industrial Sewing Machine Operator
Solid knowledge of garment construction, alterations, and finishing techniques
Experience using industrial sewing machines and commercial tailoring equipment
Ability to read patterns, technical drawings, and garment specifications
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Solid organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
Formal tailoring or garment technology training is considered an asset
