Make a difference with Nodin Mental Health Services as a Full-Time Mental Health Counsellor. This role focuses on providing comprehensive mental health support through travel to First Nations communities.
You will deliver vital counselling, support, and intervention services to children, youth, and families. Collaboration with local resources and a focus on wellness will be key to your success. Experience with various therapies and risk assessment will enhance your contributions to community mental health care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Travel to offer counselling and crisis interventions
• Develop individual treatment plans based on assessments
• Facilitate group work and mental wellness workshops
• Maintain timely and accurate client documentation
• Coordinate care and referrals within the community
Requirements:
• Minimum of 1 year experience in mental health counselling
• Relevant diploma from an accredited program
• Registration with a qualified therapy body in Ontario
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of First Nations culture and mental health challenges
