Salary: $26.20 to $37.62 per hour ($47,684.00 to $68,468.40 per annum)

Qualifications
MINIMUM FORMAL EDUCATION/TRAINING:
- University undergraduate degree in Psychology or related field required.
EXPERIENCE:
- Three years of direct experience working in a learning management system is required.
- Direct or equivalent experience working in and supporting VR systems, Qualtrics, Microsoft Forms, PowerPoint, and various generative artificial intelligence platforms is required.
- Direct or equivalent experience recruiting human subjects, collecting data from human subjects, analyzing data, and writing up and presenting research findings required.
- Direct or equivalent experience working in and supporting teaching and learning research, science of teaching and learning research, and the scholarship of teaching and learning is required.
- Demonstrated experience supporting multiple teaching and learning, and program evaluation projects.
- An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Demonstrated knowledge of human subjects research in areas of psychology or equivalent is required.
- Demonstrated organizational, analytical, problem solving, and task management skills required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy required.
- Demonstrated ability to carry out tasks associated with human subjects’ research required.

Key responsibilities
Research and Development Support
- Assist Researchers : Provide technical and administrative support to researchers in the planning, execution, and analysis of teaching and learning experiments and other studies.
- Laboratory Management : Oversee the daily operations of the laboratory, ensuring all equipment is maintained, updated, and calibrated (e.g., VR headsets and associated computers). Allocates spaces for research projects.
- Data Collection and Analysis : Collect, manage, and analyze experimental data, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Drafting : Organizes results, prepares drafts for publication and co ‑ authors papers.
- Training and Development : Conduct training sessions for students training in the laboratory on protocols and equipment usage in the Science of Teaching and Learning Laboratory.
- Safety Compliance : Ensure all laboratory activities comply with safety regulations and protocols.
- Resource Management : Manage laboratory supplies and inventory, including ordering and stocking necessary materials.
- Documentation :
Maintain detailed records of experiments, procedures, and results for future reference and reporting.
- Collaboration : Work closely with Portfolio Lead – Data, Evaluation, and Higher Education Research, Faculty Specialist – Science of Teaching and Learning, and other team members to facilitate collaborative projects and initiatives.
- Technical Support : Submit support tickets when technical support is required for laboratory equipment and software to IST and external vendors.
- Innovation and Improvement : Identify opportunities for improving laboratory processes/manuals and implementing new technologies or methodologies.
- Other duties as assigned.
