Lead impactful initiatives at the Assembly of First Nations as Senior Director for the Workplace, Water, and Justice Branch. Drive advocacy efforts to support First Nations rights through strategic development. This senior leadership role focuses on planning and implementing initiatives under the Workplace, Water, and Justice Branch. You will collaborate with First Nations leaders and external partners while ensuring alignment with AFN’s political mandates. Strong understanding of First Nations governance and expertise in environmental and justice issues are essential. Key Responsibilities:
Lead development and implementation of branch initiatives
Execute strategies to enhance national advocacy efforts
Build relationships with First Nations leaders and government officials
Provide strategic policy recommendations to AFN management
Oversee policy report development for stakeholders Requirements:
University degree in relevant field, postgraduate preferred
Minimum five years of senior management experience
In-depth knowledge of First Nations issues
Proven experience with advocacy groups
