Insight Global is seeking an Assistant Manager, Roadside Fleet Operations to join a leading roadside assistance organization in Burnaby, BC. This position is ideal for someone who combines strong people leadership with automotive expertise and enjoys working in a fast-paced operational environment focused on safety, customer service, and team performance.

As the Assistant Manager, you will lead a team of Roadside Fleet Technicians responsible for supporting members when they need assistance most. You will oversee day-to-day fleet operations, coach and develop employees, drive safety initiatives, ensure operational excellence, and help deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Please note: This is an onsite position based in Burnaby, BC. Candidates must be located within commuting distance of the Greater Vancouver area or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

- Recruit, onboard, train, coach, and develop Fleet Technicians
- Foster a strong safety-first culture through regular field visits and ongoing coaching
- Monitor, manage, and improve operational KPIs related to roadside service and towing operations
- Drive team accountability, performance, and employee engagement
- Support initiatives that improve customer satisfaction and member experience
- Manage the procurement, maintenance, and inventory of tools and equipment through vendor coordination and negotiation
- Ensure technicians have the resources necessary to operate safely and efficiently
- Respond to operational challenges, emergencies, and periods of high service demand
- Provide hands-on support in fleet operations when required




- Collaborate with leadership teams to execute operational strategies and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

- 3+ years of experience within the automotive industry
- Previous supervisory, team lead, or management experience
- Red Seal Automotive Service Technician certification or equivalent automotive mechanical experience
- Diploma in Business Management or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Solid leadership, coaching, and employee development skills
- Experience working with operational metrics, performance management, and customer service standards
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License (or equivalent) with a clean driving record
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends as needed
- Willingness to travel locally throughout the Lower Mainland to support field operations

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience managing technicians, drivers, or field service teams
- Background in towing, roadside assistance, fleet management, automotive service, or transportation operations
- Experience promoting workplace safety programs and compliance initiatives
