What You Will Do Our Toronto office is seeking undergraduate students to join the team as a Co-op or Summer Intern in Winter 2027, Summer 2027 or Fall 2027 as a part of our Risk Services, Actuarial practices.

As an intern/co-op, you will support our business and clients in one of the following Actuarial practice areas

Total Rewards & Actuarial Consulting

- Analyzing defined benefit plan financial statement disclosures as part of year-end audits
- Calculating benefit entitlements for retiring and terminating pension plan members
- Compiling and analyzing actuarial assumption data for audit clients
- Supporting projects such as acquisitions and valuations, as needed

Actuarial, Risk and Insurance Services

- Actuarial modeling
- Financial reporting and regulatory transformation
- Specialist actuarial support to the audit of insurance companies

Our competitive actuarial student program will assist you in progressing through your actuarial exams and enable you to apply the knowledge you gain from your studies to current actuarial issues. KPMG offers a competitive actuarial student program, including support for actuarial examinations, study time, mentorship from credentialed actuaries, and exposure to a diverse range of pension, insurance, and consulting engagements.

You’re passionate about being involved in your local community and post-secondary institution and have a proven ability to achieve personal and professional success while being curious as you learn emerging practices and technologies.

You demonstrate

- 2nd, 3rd or 4th year university student with a major in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics or finance, with interest in pursuing a recognized actuarial designation e.g. ACIA/FCIA
- Knowledge of life contingencies and financial mathematics concepts
- Knowledge of pension funding and accounting concepts are an asset/
- Strong technical skills in Excel; experience with valuation systems is an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; fluency in French is an asset
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Highly motivated, committed self-starter who can prioritize work, multi-task and cope with changing priorities in an entrepreneurial environment

KPMG Ontario Region Pay Range Information The expected base salary range for this position is $41,000 to $65,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications.
